Creed is currently unidentified. There is no mention of this person in DNB or biographies. The pattern of contacts as recorded by Godwin suggests this is probably a business contact/someone in finance or the book trade, rather than a friend - with most of the contacts being one-to-one and centering on 1810. The British Book Trade Index has two Creeds listed as stationers, one of which probably succeeded the other, in London in 1799 but this is probably not sufficient evidence, and the Abinger papers do not contain any further information. There is also a G Creed who is a print seeler in 1819.
