Dinmore was educated as a surgeon and practised for a short time in Watton, Norfolk. He was the author of some radical works, most notably A Brief Account of the Moral and Political Acts of the Kings and Queens of England (London, 1793) and An Exposition of the Principles of the English Jacobins (Norwich, 1796). He later emigrated to America where he died.
It is possible that Godwin is referring to his father, Richard senior, who was a sadler and president to the Patriotic Society (the successor to the Norwich Revolution Society) until June 1796. However, the presence of John March, the publisher of Principles of English Jacobinism, makes it more likely to be the son.
