William Firth was a member of the Norwich Revolution Society. Godwin's first two meetings with him are at the Alderson's, during his 1794 visit to Norwich and the next year Firth appears in London at Thomas Holcroft's, again in the company of Amelia Alderson. Over the next few years, when Godwin sees Firth in London it is almost always in conjunction with other Norwich contacts (William Taylor, the Plumptres, and Charles Marsh), which further supports this identification.
