  • Name: Flower, Benjamin
  • Gender: Male
  • Birth Date: 1755
  • Death Date: 17  February  1829
  • Occupation: political writer

Godwin met Benjamin Flower, the political writer, and editor of the Cambridge Intelligencer (owned by his brother Richard), in 1796 in Norfolk, and again in 1805 at James Perry's in London. Flower was also a unitarian. It is not clear from the diary that the entries to Flower are to Benjamin, and they could be to his brother. But the connection to perry in 1805 suggest Benjamin is more likely.

Godwin records meeting Miss Flower twice in 1811. Neither of Benjamin Flower's daughters are plausible candidates for Miss Flower, being born in 1803 and 1805 respectively. She may, however, come from another branch of the family.
