The Times, reports his death on 20 November 1818, 'Alderman Goodbehere had been for nearly thirty years a distinguished member of the Corporation of London', where he was an ally of the radical Robert Waithman. The Morning Chronicle, 28 November 1818, lists Waithman and Alderman Wood amongst those at his funeral. Godwin records his death. The identification is confirmed by 17 January 1815: 'Court of Aldermen; adv. Goodbehere, Reeves, Thos Bell and Line'.
