  • Birth Date: 28  March  1725

Kippis was minister of the Presbyterian congregation meeting in Princes Street, Westminster from 1753 until his death and one of Godwin's tutors at Hoxton dissenting college. Extensively discussed by all the biographies, esp. Marshall, who writes that 'of all his tutors, it was undoubtedly Andrew Kippis who most influenced Godwin at Hoxton' (p. 35). All the mentions of Kippis come before Andrew Kippis's death in 1795 and are usually with other dissenters.
