  • Name: Leroux, Jacob
  • Gender: Male
  • Birth Date:
  • Death Date: 26  April  1799

Godwin mets him in 1792, has contact again in 1797, and records his death and the later sale of his goods in 1799.

The Times of 15 June 1799 advertises a lot of 40 houses in the Somerstown/Polygon area of London due to the recent demise of Jacob Leroux. He appears to have been a landlord of some wealth in Godwin's neighbourhood and it seems highly likely that Godwin rented property from him from 1792, when they first make an 'agreement'. See Linda Clarke's work on the building of Somers Town.
