Lubé is strongly associated with John Philpott Curran from his initial entry in the diary in 1815 and from 1822 with Mrs Yaniewicz, husband of the violinist. He dines several times at Godwin's with Mary Shelley in the mid-1820s.
The Life of the Right Honourable John Philpot Curran includes letters to Denis Lube, Esq. and a footnote on p. 335 describes him as 'Mr. D. Lubé, of the Irish bar; a gentleman of peculiarly estimable character, in whom Mr. Curran reposed the most unbounded confidence.'
Lubé published An Argument Against the Gold Standard....addressed to the landlords of England in 1832. On the title page the author is described as 'M. A. Trin. Coll. Dub. And of Lincoln's Inn, Barrister at Law' . He also wroteAn Analysis of the Principles of Equity Pleasing (1846).
