Probably the mother of Lord Moira (Hastings, Francis Rawdon, first marquess of Hastings and second earl of Moira (1754–1826), army officer and politician- see DNB. ) Lady Elizabeth Hastings (1731–1808), the daughter of Theophilus Hastings, ninth earl of Huntingdon. Lord Moira succeeded to the title in 1793. He did not marry until 1804. Godwin meets Lady Moira on his trip to ireland in 1800.
