Lady Sydney Morgan was an Irish novelist of a nationalistic bent. She married Sir Thomas Charles Morgan who also appears in the diary.
Published a series of popular works including the The Wild Irish Girl (1806). She was the daughter of a Dublin theatre manager, and married Sir Thomas Morgan (1780-1843). Godwin notes Owenson in his 1796 list.
