1826

20  August  1826

  • Name: Napier, Lady Sarah (née Lennox Bunbury)
  • Gender: Female
  • Birth Date: 14  February  1745
  • Death Date: 26  August  1826
  • Occupation: noblewoman

Godwin records her death - although he enters it on the 20th. There are other refs to a 'S Napier' , although fewer than the many to Mrs Napier, and there are a range of other initials associated with Napier. We assume these refer to others: Lady Sarah Napier was extremely aristocratic (she was Charles James Fox's aunt), did not move in Godwin's circles and was in poor health by the 1810s, when the references appear. Only her death has been coded.
