There is one reference only, to a letter sent on 14 July 1833 to Adelaide O'Keefe after the death of her father (whom Godwin knew), in response to her letter (MS. Abinger c. 14. fols. 15-16: 5 July 1833) asking for Godwin's aid. However, that letter suggests that when Godwin visited O'Keeffe in 1826 he saw both the father and the daughter and she has consequently been included in the two meetings at their home. The letter asks for Godwin's help in getting a response from Drury Lane where she had sent a parcel of her father's plays (two being pieces designed to provide for her after his death).
