Godwin often sees him when he is back in East Anglia, sometimes specifies Guestwick (in Norfolk), and various websites have a John Sykes as dissenting minister at Guestwick at this time. Godwin records his death on 27 March 1824. http://www.origins.org.uk/genuki/NFK/places/g/guestwick/ has a record of John Alexander's 'sermon, preached in the Independent Meeting-House at Guestwick, April 2, 1824, after the internment of J. Sykes' thus the dates clearly fit. The National Archives gives Sykes's dates as Independent minister at Guestwick as 1776-1824.
