George Tobin (1768-1838), naval officer and artist, who sailed on Bligh's second voyage to Tahiti and also sailed with Cochrane. He seems to have been at home on half-pay between 1801 and 1804, when he is noted in the diary. See entries for his brothers, primarily James Webbe Tobin but also John Tobin.
