Dissenting minister who came from Forfarshire, Scotland. Lindsay succeeded James Fordyce (1720-1796) as preacher in Monkwell St. Lindsay died delivering an animated speech at a meeting of dissenting ministers at the Dr Williams Library to discuss legislation relating to English dissenters.

Lindsay is not to be confused with Lindsey which refers to Theophilus Lindsay, also a dissenting minister recorded in the diary.
