See the discussions in Shelley and Percy
From 1827 Percy has been consistently coded as Percy Shelley jr, who is eight in the November of that year. There are good grounds for thinking that from this point on (around 100 references 1827-36) Godwin uses Percy to refer to his grandson. On many occasions Percy appears with Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley and we know that 'Percy to Slater' (27 March 1828) refers to Percy junr entering Edward Slater's Gentlemen's Academy, Church Street, Kensington.
