Sims is a chemist based in Norwich, from 1795 in partnership with John Pitchford, who can be identified through the circles of Norwich radicalism in which he appears. (See Jewson on Norwich and the French Revolution.) The two instances of 'Sims' and one of 'Sim's' in 1796 have been identified as this Sims. There is a 'Sims' in 1809 but this is in London rather than Norwich thus we cannot make the same identification.
