Taylor, Susannah (née Cook)

Susannah was a prominent member of radical circles in Norwich. She was the wife of John Taylor of Norwich and mother of a number of children who also appear in the diary. She was a celebrated conversationalist and there is an account of her in Janet Ross’s 1888 Three Generations of Englishwomen.

Instances of 'Susan Taylor' and 'Mrs Taylor' have been identified as Susannah; please see discussion under John Taylor.
