The only son of Joseph Towers. Early entries are coded for Joseph senr who dies in 1799. There is an entry for Joseph junr in 1798, and this and subsequent entries have been coded for Towers' son Joseph Lomas Towers (DNB) (1770-1831)
There are a very few entries which could be ambiguous between John Towers DNB, Joseph senr's brother, and Joseph Lomas Towers, before the former's death in 1804. But Godwin indicates Towers Junr in 1798 and all those entries subsequent to this have been coded as Joseph junr .
